Theodore de Banville is known to people studied in the field of the French literature as one of the most notable creators and critics of the 19th century. His contribution to the history of the national literature is honored, amongst others, in Nice, by a garden which bears the name of the literate.

The Theodore de Banville Garden is located south of the Vigier Park, at the foot of Mount Boron. While strolling on the alleys of this garden, visitors can also admire the sea view which opens on one side of the venue.
