Located at the very entrance in Nice (on the east side of Promenade des Anglais), very close to the airport, for that matter, the Phoenix Park is one of the top tourist sights in the capital of the French Riviera. The park fills a surface of 7 hectares, with plenty of highlights to make a visit worthwhile.

Thus, the Phoenix Park is home to one of the largest greenhouses in Europe, a structure amounting to 25 meters in height and stretching on 7,000 square meters. The greenhouse accommodates seven different tropical climates, the most spectacular and colorful scenery being yielded by the lush fern forest and by the exquisite collection of orchids. The floral asset of the park is complemented by three exotic gardens, namely, the Thai garden, the Australian African garden and by the Louisiana garden.

Another highlight of the park refers to the so-called Ile des Temps Revolus (Island that Time Forgot), where visitors can admire (or study, as the case may be, depending on the interest with which they visit the Phoenix Park) a gramineae garden and a bamboo forest. The artificial lake (on which the said island is located) set up inside the Phoenix Park offers, it too, a splendid view buzzing with color and life, since sundry species of birds (pelicans, ducks, black swans) and turtles nestle here. The exotic fauna also comprises species of tropical insects and birds. Visitors should also take time to admire the Mediterranean waterfalls of the park.

The lake is overlooked by yet another major cultural attraction of Nice, namely, the Museum of Asian Arts, which strikes by its architectural newness and benefits, at the same time, from the stunning backdrop of the park.
