The San Bertoumieu Festival is a traditional festival which brings to Vieux Nice producers and craftsmen from all corners of the municipality of Nice. The historical district of the city becomes the place where exhibitors display their impressively varied range of products, from foodstuff (cheeses, wines, honey) to pottery and folk art works.
For tourists, the San Bertoumieu Festival is, without a doubt, a picturesque shopping opportunity, but also an occasion to get an insight into the traditional side of Nice. It’s not just the products on sale that contribute to creating an image of traditional Nice. Several traditional Nicois games can be played, such as the so-called Pilou, Vitou or Mourra.
The Nicois salad contest is yet another highlight of the festival.
