The Maritime Alps Marathon is one of the most challenging and appealing races along the French Riviera. Held in mid November, the race starts in Nice, on Promenade des Anglais, and finishes in Cannes, on the celebrated Boulevard de la Croisette, after passing though all the picturesque smaller Riviera resorts: Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Antibes and Juan-les-Pins.

Given the start and the finish lines of the route, the race is often referred to the Nice-Cannes Marathon.
